Matchbox Lesney Yesteryear  5 a Le Mans Bentley Empty Repro D1 Style Box.

This model is the one of the earlier releases and while Y-5b is similar they are distinct models.

This box suits the smaller all metal casting model with the racing number 5 on the sides. 

The Y-5b is a larger scale which also sees the seats being plastic and a Union Jack flag added to the decals.

 This box style is the fourth issue D1 style YesterYear box with the model now in full colour rather than the earlier line drawing styles.

The headline banner changes slightly with the test being a heavier block format of the Old West font style.

The rear face continues to have a brief history of the vehicle.
