Dinky Toys 985 Thornycroft Car Transporter Trailer Rear Ramp.

The cab/chassis is thought to be based on a Thornycroft model. Ref: Richardson The Hornby Companion Vol 4 page 176.

Suits the Dinky Toys 983 set Car Carrier and Trailer, 984 Car Carrier only, and 985 Car Carrier Trailer only.

This is the common red body and sides with grey ramps or decks.

The later issue of 984 was renumbered as 989 with a lemon yellow cab, grey side panels and blue ramps or decks.
