American Station Wagon Matchbox Lesney reproduction box for the early issue of this model in yellow with windows and perhaps some of the early models without windows.

The 31a1 and 31a2 boxes are the same box except that the 31a2 has more yellow or no blue borders to the main picture faces. The end flap also changes from plain black digits '31' to the model name text and the number on a white background.
