The third series boxes for Matchbox Lesney Models of YesterYear.

Issued for some of the first 9 models ('a' suffix) in the series with some models replaced with the second or 'b' suffix models. Range is now from 1 to 15. Circa 1959 - 1961.

Box has a line drawing front face, fact sheet rear face, and the end flaps with a red Y- prefixed model number reference in a white/cream circle on the dark blue background. Text description of the model and 'New Model' for the changed models. Easier to read compared to the earlier issue boxes.

Model references 4, 6, & 7 as 'b' issues with 'New Model' on the end.
